well I work but I still have 5-7 hours in the evenings to burn so I just play instead of going out or w/e, plus I spent the weekends playing a lot too just to get up to speed with the rest of the guild

I tend to be efficient at leveling so I generally level fast (i.e. time played per level)
I don't bother reading lore, or even what the quest says.
Got a window opened with wowhead.com where I pull up the quest name, copy/paste loc #s into the game and do the quest.

This works very well, especially if you don't know the map.
What is nice with this method is that for each quest, users will post comments if other quests can be done in same area, so you can nail down more than one quest per trip to the specific area on the map.
